In both the Infant and Junior Schools, homework is given out on a Friday and is due in on the following Wednesday. All children in Years 1 to 6 have their own Google Login to access our Google Classroom. Where possible homework is set on the Google Classroom, where children can access it, complete it and then read the staff comments once it  has been marked.

Y1 - give out just one piece of homework  which will be either maths or literacy based;

Y2 - give out 1 piece of maths and 1 piece of literacy

Y3 - give out 1 piece of maths and 1 piece of literacy

Y4 - give out 1 piece of maths and 1 piece of literacy, with an expectation of spending at least 20 minutes on each piece.

Y5 - give out 1 piece of maths and 1 piece of literacy, with an expectation of spending at least 25 minutes on each piece.

Y6 - give out 1 piece of maths and 1 piece of literacy, with an expectation of spending at least 30 minutes on each piece. Plus additional piece of Grammar homework.

Maths and literacy homework may be substitued with topic homework (with a history or geography focus) but this will be clearly stated on the homework summary sheet given out each week.
